Elje is run by Brisbane-based builders and designers. Before Elje existed we fitted out whole houses direct from factories in Foshan and Shenzhen: the cabinetry, the stone, the tapware, the doors and windows, and the shipping that combined them. The question that started Elje was simple: why is everyone paying a showroom to do this for them?

Why "Elje"
A four-letter name that means nothing yet, on purpose. It is not "projects", "design", "import" or "China", because in two years this might be a showroom, a trade supplier or a design studio, and the name has to survive all of them. Short enough to type, empty enough on Google to own on day one, and whatever we are doing this year sits underneath it as a line.
What we will not do
Hide a fee
You pay $990 for the Project Plan and 2 percent for Elje Assured. The factories you choose pay us 5 percent. Every one of those is printed on every quote.
Hold your money
You pay the factory. With Assured, the balance sits with a licensed escrow partner until the inspection passes. Never with us.
Sell you a showroom
There is no stock, no display, no floor to walk. The factory is the showroom; that is the whole point.
Sell a factory its ranking
Factories pay to be audited, never to rank higher. The scorecard decides who you meet, and there is always a cheaper tap without a WaterMark that never makes the list.
Draw your kitchen
Not yet. You bring drawings; we tell you what a factory needs on them and who to send them to.
Install
Your builder or cabinet installer fits it from labelled packs. We will tell you who has done it before.
