For architects
Specify China-made fit-out with the compliance evidence attached and a landed price per line, so the design is not swapped out at tender.
What you can rely on
- Compliance before catalogue: no tapware or sanitary item without a current WaterMark certificate checked on the ABCB register, and WELS where it applies.
- Wet-area tiles with an AS 4586 slip report. Glass to AS 1288. Cabinetry board with an E0 or E1 test report. RCM for anything electrical.
- No engineered stone. Porcelain, sintered and natural stone only, with the test report.
- Each order inspected against your drawings at the factory before the balance is released.
How it sits in your process
| Stage | What Elje gives you |
|---|---|
| Concept and design development | Indicative landed prices per line to test the budget |
| Documentation | EL codes and spec text per item, and from 2028 BIM objects |
| Tender | Landed prices the builder can carry, with the factories named at introduction |
| Construction | Shop drawing review, samples and the inspection report |
What we will not do
Elje is paid by both sides: factories pay Elje a fee, printed on every quote. Ranking comes from the scorecard alone, never from payment.
Questions
Can I see the certificate before I specify?
Yes. Every item's certificate number is listed, and you can check it on the issuing register yourself.
Who pays Elje?
Your client pays the $990 Project Plan (free on your first job) and Elje Assured, 2% of the order with a $600 minimum. The factory pays a 5% introduction fee. Every fee is printed on every quote. Your trade account is free.
