You are already running the job. Elje prices the fit-out landed, introduces factories that make it right, and books the inspection before you pay the balance.
Why owner-builders use Elje
- You carry the cost difference yourself, so the landed saving is yours.
- You buy direct from the factory and are the importer. Elje never holds your money.
- Every tapware and sanitary item has a WaterMark certificate checked, so your plumber can install it.
- You hold the samples before you order and sign off a golden sample for custom joinery.
What you are responsible for
As the importer you answer the customs declaration, pay GST at the border and keep the compliance records your certifier will ask for. The Project Plan includes the illegal logging due diligence file for timber products and the certificate list for every item.
Your licensed trades install. We talk to them before the order about what arrives and what they supply locally.

Is the Project Plan free for owner-builders?
The free first job is for trade accounts. Owner-builders pay $990, and the $149 samples are credited to it.
What if a line is cheaper locally?
Then the estimate says so. Some lines are better bought here.
